I love the taste of sweet and sour...actually, I really like the sour better--the more puckery the better, I say!
But, when we're talking about the little details of life I would have to say I definitely enjoy the sweet much, much better, LOL.
They say, though, that if we didn't have the sour we wouldn't be able to really enjoy the sweet. I say...I'd like to give it a try sometime... ;-)
The Sour
....The transmission in my son-in-law's Explorer breathed it's last
...First quarter sales tax for the glass company was due on Monday
and we can't cover it right now
...This pesky depression I've been muddling through is hanging on a lot longer than I'd like
(I'm done with you already...go away!)
...My grown step-son and I haven't been seeing eye to eye for a couple months now
(Could have something to do with that demon-spawn he's dating right now--just sayin')
The Sweet
...My 11 year old son still comes and finds me for a goodnight hug and "I Love You" before bed each night
...I am learning and growing more and more each and every day
...The weather has been so nice this week...deliciously warm but not too warm
...I was reminded about a dream of mine from a while ago that I had put away on a shelf...to start studying herbalism and to become an herbalist someday in the future
...I have discovered that by eating only lean meats, vegetables and fruits the pounds are starting to drop again....YIPPEE!!!

I'm a sweet tooth girl myself with the occasional sour touch! My Youngest son used to have a cuddle on my knee at 11, he had to stop when he reached 6ft, couldn't fit on ;~) Have a sweet weekend.
Don't care too much for sweet anyway. Unless there is fruit involved (horray for strawberries!).
One thought aside concerning the "demon spawn" you mentioned. Of course I do not know her or the situation, but in my family it has been a rule that whoever was important enough for one of us to love, was welcome in our family. (This is especially true for my older sister's husband, who can be really grumpy, unsociable and weird at times.) Everyone is working really hard to make sure people feel welcome when we get together (and I know for a fact that our father cannot stand that special son-in-law). Yes, some would say that was too close to lying, but for us it is more like, "If he is good at making her happy, then there must be something special about him." (I guess that's the attitude our father had towards my BF in the beginning as well, but now they seem to get along way better.)
Hi guys, thanks for stopping by. Diandra (you have a beautiful name by the way)I really do hear what you are saying and honestly we really do try to "live and let live" over here, too. However, there are some people that you come to realize are toxic individuals and this is one of those cases. After she had my daughter in tears for about the 5th time I made a decision that I did not want her around us any longer. I could tell you story upon story but I really don't want to go into it any further here. I do appreciate your insight, though. And in most cases I would whole heartedly agree with you.
"Could have something to do with that demon-spawn he's dating right now"..... (I'm dying laughing)
Love the dream about becoming an herbalist. I've been getting more and more interested in the healing powers of herbs too. What a great dream!
Cheers to the weight loss and finding the right foods!
I know the depression thang, all too well. Sending hugs and empathy!
Herbalism? Yes we need more of that in the world!
A friend of my friends is a demon spawn too.. I SO know what you are talking about -sigh-. Someone suggested me: Should I hit her with a garden fence? Guess what I said... :)
These people show us lessons to grow, give us the ability to stay strong and not give in. So nice to see it on your list!
Can I first just tell how much I love the look of your blog?! It's beautiful :).
Boo on the sour stuff (though I too like sour things sometimes :). Hope things are looking up since Friday--and I had to laugh about demon spawn too lol. And I hear you and couldn't agree with you more about negative energy and people that bring us down. I am all for kindness, compassion and open mindedness, but life is too short to allow myself to be trampled on, or allow sick individuals to occupy the same space as myself for too long. It eventually becomes a question of self respect. Anyway, I ramble.
I do hope you pursue your dreams of herbalism, it's a wonderful dream.
cheers and hugs Bodhi!
